The vinyl waterproof layer is sandwiched between the two polyester cloth layers, making this pad quiet, durable and completely moisture proof. The Expand-a-Grip skirt clings to mattresses from 7 to 20 inches deep, securing this pad in place. Easily machine wash and dry for optimal mattress protection.

Good quality for the price. Padding under the top layer increases comfort but does not increase the machine drying time significantly. Vinyl waterproof layer does not allow for exchange of body heat like the Beautyrest breathable mattress pad does.
